St. George/Washington County is situated in the southwest corner of Utah, just
six miles from the Arizona State line on Interstate I-15. St. George, the county
seat, is the largest city in southern Utah. The area's population is now over
100,000 and projected to grow to 105,000 by the year 2005.
The city is
nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by impressive red sandstone cliffs.
Zions National Park and Bryce Canyon are only a few hours away. Brian Head
provides great skiing in the wintertime and a mountain retreat in the
summertime.
Washington County is endowed with mild, low humidity winters
with over 300 sunny days per year. The desert climate promotes year round
recreation and leisure activities. St George is know as the "Year 'Round Golf
Capital of Utah" and offers ten great, scenic golf courses.
Utah's Dixie
has been recognized as an excellent retirement spot in many recent publications,
and Washington County is one of the fastest growing counties in Utah.
